This song was written for a WNYC project on the U.S. constitution, illustrating the passing (and de facto nullification) of the 15th Amendment, which granted Black Americans the right to vote for the first time. As Black Americans continue to fight for equality in the United States, it's my sincere plea that you'll take action however you can. The EP is $1, but you are welcome (and encouraged) to donate more. We are a long way from freedom.
